The NAMO Shree Yojana is a flagship welfare scheme by the Government of Gujarat that provides ₹12,000 in financial assistance to pregnant women and lactating mothers. Managed by the Women and Child Development Department, it aims to improve maternal health, offer nutritional support, and promote safe deliveries in hospitals.
Eligibility Criteria
To qualify for the benefits, an applicant must meet the following conditions:
- Residency: Must be a permanent resident of Gujarat.
- Income Limit: Annual family income must not exceed ₹8,00,000.
- Coverage: Valid only for the first two live children.
- Hospital Delivery: The childbirth must take place at a registered government or private hospital.
- Target Categories: Mothers must belong to designated groups such as SC, ST, BPL, NFSA cardholders, PMJAY beneficiaries, E-Shram/MGNREGA cardholders, or low-income families.
Payment Installment Structure
The total financial aid of ₹12,000 is directly credited to the mother’s bank account via Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) in phases:

How to Apply
There is no complex online form for individuals to fill out manually.
- Go to your nearest Anganwadi Centre or government health facility.
- Request enrollment during your first Antenatal Check-up (ANC).
- The local ASHA worker or Auxiliary Nurse Midwife (ANM) will handle your registration on the portal.
