The “Free Beauty Parlour Kit Yojana” is primarily run under the Manav Kalyan Yojana and Manav Garima Yojana by the Government of Gujarat. This welfare program empowers women and economically weaker sections to become self-employed by providing free toolkits worth up to ₹25,000 to start their own beauty salon business.
Instead of physical kits, selected beneficiaries receive an e-voucher (QR code) on their mobile phone to redeem the equipment from an authorized dealer.

Eligibility Criteria
- Age Limit: The applicant must be between 18 and 60 years old.
- Income Limit: The annual household income must not exceed ₹6 Lakhs. (Note: No income limit applies to highly backward, nomadic, or de-notified tribes, who only need to submit a caste certificate).
- Target Group: Destitute citizens, BPL families, Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST), and other backward communities.
Required Documents
To apply for the scheme, you will need to upload scanned copies of the following documents:
- Aadhar Card
- E-Shram Card (Mandatory)
- Income Certificate (Aavak no Dakhlo)
- Caste Certificate (if applicable)
- Proof of Residence (Ration Card, Electricity Bill, or Election Card)
- Passport-sized photograph
- Bank Passbook or cancelled cheque
How the Selection Process Works
- Verification: The District Industries Centre (DIC) scrutinizes the submitted online forms.
- Online Lucky Draw: Approved applications enter a transparent district-level online computerized draw to select the final beneficiaries.
- E-Voucher Generation: Winners receive a text message containing an e-voucher (QR code).
- Redemption: Beneficiaries download the QR code from their portal login and present it along with an OTP to an authorized dealer in Gujarat to claim their customized beauty kit.
- Physical Inspection: Government and third-party officials will visit your home/shop later to verify that you are actively using the toolkit. Selling or misusing the equipment will result in immediate penalty and recovery.

How to Apply Online
Applications must be submitted electronically through the state’s official web portals:
- Visit the official portal: e-Kutir Gujarat Portal (for Manav Kalyan Yojana) or the e-Samaj Kalyan Portal(for Manav Garima Yojana).
- Register a new profile using your basic details, mobile number, and Aadhar details.
- Select the “Beauty Parlour” trade from the list of available self-employment schemes.
- Fill out the form, upload the necessary documents, and submit. You can also visit your village VCE (Village Computer Entrepreneur) to get the form filled online free of charge.
