Flouting Traffic Rules In Rajasthan: A shocking incident of serious violation of traffic rules has come to light in Banswara district of Rajasthan. In the video that went viral on social media, it is seen that about 90 to 100 people were traveling in a jeep made for only 10 passengers. This jeep was going from Rajasthan to Gujarat, when someone on the way made a video of it and shared it on social media.
Life-threatening journey
In the viral video, the condition of the jeep is seen to be extremely alarming. There is so much crowd inside the vehicle that even the driver is seen with difficulty. Not only this, small children, women and the elderly are seen hanging on the roof, bonnet and rear of the jeep without any protection. It is clear that such a dangerous journey invites a major accident.
People’s questions on the police and the system
As soon as the video went viral, people’s anger erupted on social media. Users are questioning the performance of Rajasthan and Gujarat Police. People are asking how such a large number of passengers could have escaped a check post or patrol? The question is also being raised whether road safety rules are limited to paper only.
Order of investigation, assurance of action
Considering the seriousness of the incident, DTO Pankaj Sharma has immediately dispatched a flying squad to the spot and ordered an investigation. Officials have said that strict action will be taken against the culprits and traffic monitoring will be intensified in the coming time. Officials have said that awareness of the citizens along with the system is equally important to prevent such fatal journeys.
